• After 15 years at the center of the Xara community, Gary Priester retires this month from the Xara Xone. We know that very many Xara users have been encouraged, inspired and instructed by Gary's tutorials and workbooks over the years, including many artists who have started from scratch and now regularly feature in the Xara Gallery and Inspirational Art. So this month the Outsider has a Gary Priester theme, featuring Art and Tutorials from the guru. And we'd like to say a big thank you to Gary from Xara and the Xara community.

    TalkGraphics regulars will be pleased to hear that he will continue in his role at TG. And Xara Xone? Well, we couldn't let the great resource that Gary has built up slip from view, so from January the irrepressible Gary Bouton will be taking on the mantle.

We've created a new section of the Xara site that we hope will be a huge help for anyone learning to use our software. The new support index includes links to all movies, tutorials and other help resources from Xara and third parties (including all the Xara Xone tutorials). Listed by product but also with a search feature. And we'll continue to expand it in the coming months.

Widget Guide Update
Our Widget Guide provides help on a wide variety of widgets that can be used with Designer Pro, Web Designer and Web Designer Premium. We've updated it this month to cover the extra widgets available in Widget Pack 1 (under Eyecatcher Widgets).

There's a new artist in the Xara Art Gallery this month, we've just added the work of relative Xara newcomer Rik Datta. Don't forget there's a Website Gallery too, showing sites created in Web Designer and Designer Pro.
