"Fast, efficient and a good all-round illustration and design package, ideal for artists new to vectors." Xara Designer Pro reviewed by Digital Artist, Issue 27. "Xara is powerful, lightening fast and responsive and because it offers lossless vector-based photo editing it produces files that can be much smaller than in other programs." Photo & Graphic Designer 7 reviewed by Digital Photos 101.
Creating Evenly Spaced Shapes (Advanced) The options dialog is non-modal, so you can quickly create an XY grid of evenly spaced shapes: Draw a shape, click Ctrl+Shift+o to open the options dialog. In the ‘Document editing’ section of the General tab enter an X duplicate distance of the spacing you require e.g. 2cm, and set Y=0. Click Apply, select the object and Ctrl+Alt+D to duplicate the object across the page as many times as required (the Options dialog remains on screen). Now just adjust the Y value eg -2cm (remember y has to be a negative number to copy down the page) and set x=0. Click Apply again. Select all the objects and now Ctrl+Alt+D for as many rows as you want. |
